If you’re not prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there’s no need to worry. Follow these handy tips for a hassle-free start to your holiday in Cattolica. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you’ll want a few toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don’t forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to make yourself as comfortable as possible. Don layers of natural fibers and take a sweater just in case you get cold. Opt for flat, well-fitting shoes as it’s possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your checked baggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
