when arriving for dinner in the restaurant we were told they couldn't accommodate us as they were short staffed in the kitchen. there were only 3 tables occupied & set seating for a hundred or more. "go to the bar there are snacks available there" Consequently we had no evening meal at all. No Lift if you've heavy bags & parking is a long walk.

Loved that we could bring our dog and not charged for. We had a problem at first in that my wife is disabled and there were no lifts. The receptionist (Elle-May) changed our room so that we were as near to the car as possible. Restaurant food was excellent as well. Will definitely go there again 👍

Charlton Kings Doubletree
Great customer service, great chef, so accommodating and friendly. Very nice people made everything enjoyable on our travels and during our stay. Just no elevator so a little difficult for elders but manageable.

NOT a Doubletree hotel
This hotel really should not be allowed to be part of the DoubleTree brand. It has that air of a hotel that’s on the brink of closing down. Dirt/dust/filth almost everywhere you look with tired furniture and carpets etc. The WiFi is essentially unusable and because it’s a generally poor area for mobile signal be prepared to not be able to work from this hotel. Breakfast on both mornings was a constant battle to get what you want as nothing was replenished quickly and there was an extra charge on top even for a basic omelette. The gym may have been the unpleasant place I’ve exercised in a good few years. Genuinely would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was the dirtiest we have ever stayed in and to be honest was embarrassed for the hotel on its busy week with all the people paying top money got moved rooms and the upgrade room was just as dirty just had clean sheets on the bed
