"Room was large and comfortable and the staff were very pleasantand helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a choice of dishes. Parking in the car park across the street was easy. Not luxury but good value."

Superb hotel in a great location
"Really great room for families with 2 beds on a mezzanine level and a separate lounge. Great food and service. Warm swimming pool. Would not describe hotel as a “spa” hotel as such but the hot tub is a nice addition to the pool. Fantastic views of the fells and walks from the door."

"Stayed for 1 night, easy check in and out, apartment was up to a good standard could do with some slippers for the bathroom but otherwise brilliant. Apartment 31 was in a good location for an easy walk down to the pier. Overall a great stay and would come back."

We didn't visit any of the local sights due to a bad back, We spent much of our time in Cockermouth and Lorton. Cockermouth is a lovely small town with lots of great shops and places to eat

Travel light because no help with luggage to the room. Slightly confusing arrangement of the new wings where at the common entrance no room numbers were displayed. If you are vegetarian, food is limited.Pricey, £30 golf voucher not any help to us
