"Everything that we experienced was near perfect. The staff in particular were excellent. Very nice rooms and lovely pillows. Breakfast also very nice. Did not try bar or restaurant otherwise. Would definitely stay again if we are fortunate to return. My wife did not want to leave. Honestly, one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at."

"We were very pleased with this aparthotel, it is central, it has parking around the property, the apartments are very roomy and nicely furnished, the kitchen is fully functional with good size fridge and freezer, stovetop, coffee maker and even a real oven. Plus all what is need for cooking. Ample space to put luggage, hang clothes and countertop room. Laundry room with provided detergent pods included. A very short walk from the city center and right next to the art museum. Great experience!"

"The room exceeded our expectations. Prior to our arrival, we stayed at another hotel in Akureyri for two nights, then decided to stay one more night, but the other hotel had no available rooms and a worker there suggested Hotel Halond. As soon as we walked in, both my husband and I wished we found this place for all three nights because it is very spacious, clean, has a refrigerator, and a smart tv which the other hotel did not have. They also have a microwave in the common area which can be used. The only problem we had is since we booked through Expedia, I never received an email in my inbox OR available with my room and 4 digit code. I did have to turn on my phone data plan to call the hotel and someone immediately answered and gave me this information within 3 minutes. If they can figure out this one caveat, that would be amazing because I did read other reviews where this happened to them. So it must be a problem when booking through a 3rd party site. Other than this, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone as long as you are OK with a self service establishment that does not have many amenities or a restaurant. "
