Check in was friendly and efficient. I had a small trailer and they were happy to provide additional parking for me. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable.

Room had lots of updates despite being an older building. Staff called me the day of my reservation to confirm what time we planned on checking in. There is lots of highway noise, but turning on the fan helped drown it out. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan which left the whole room feeling damp and sticky throughout our stay Tile,counters, & sink, had been updated, but tub itself was missing enamel and rusty in spots. Light switch plate was caked with years of grime. There was stayover service provided and new towels were brought in daily. Breakfast was average for a 2 star hotel and heads-up they do not allow you to bring it back to your room to eat. Pool towels were provided and plentifully stocked. Bath towels were an average mix of brand new with threadbare/stained towels. Wires were hanging out of the wall above the bathroom light and the ceiling was flaking, but shower was hot and had good pressure. Toilet was very clean and in good working order. Overall, I would stay here again.

We had these reservations for 7 weeks. Unfortunately the quiet rest we expected back at that time was overrun with 168 band competition participants. The first night the LOUD noise above us went on until after 12 midnight. We mentioned it to the chaperons at breakfast the next morning and they stated they would take care of it. Our 2nd night had the noise begin at 9:38 and we finally went to sleep at 10:20 while it still continued because we were that tired from the night before. The facility definitely is not sound proof and when they stomped their feet or perhaps jumped back and forth between the beds, the walls creaked as well as the ceiling. It was a big disappointment this time because of who was staying there and not because of the property. We will stay there again just as we have many times before, but . . . . - hopefully we will not see a repeat offense. A good night's sleep is important in keeping alert when you drive the next day or your customers may not get the chance to return.

Breakfast was a wholesome choice although many might have wanted more. The king sized beds were definitely king sized with loads of room. The queen sized seemed a little narrower than that size, but after the king sized, we might have just felt they were smaller than billed. Doorways into bathroom would not accommodate a wheelchair but this motel is a work in process and is a good stay for the money. We will be back yet this month with the family and I am confident we will have a good stay. The one neighboring building has been refurbished and thus the neighborhood has improved from a year ago.

Progress has been made in the property in the last 2 years. They still need to upgrade room bathroom doorways to made them ADA compliant, but again they are working on upgrades and I continue to stay with them and will in the next month.

An older facility, but clean. Convenient next to a major interstate exit and on major thoroughfare into Des Moines. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Our room was not cleaned, puke all over the bed and floor! We got upgraded to a suite, the bathroom door wouldn’t slide closed. It just felt nasty. Broken windows in pool area. I slept with one eye open😳

This property looks nothing like the pictures provided. It was dirty, broken down and just disgusting. The pool was dangerous as the handle was coming out of the cement. The water looked “chunky”, no way I would get in there. Our room I couldn’t take my shoes off because the carpet was so gross. The bathroom was a complete disaster. The shower curtain had holes in it and was visibly overused. The shower wouldn’t turn on all the way, the floor of the shower felt unstable. The toilet seat wasn’t screwed in all the way and was very loose, and my husband had to fix the toilet because it wouldn’t stop running. The mirror was broken, the hook on the back of the door was broken and the hair dryer looked like it was going to fall off of the wall. The lamps next to the bed were all sorts of messed up and they had car air fresheners hanging from the bulbs. We also had a huge nasty spider that looked terrifying. Outside our window was an old pool that had been filled in and left to just grow weeds, there was a broken down camper out there as well. No landscaping at all. There is no way I would stay at this location again and I definitely shouldn’t have paid the $150/ night.

I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room. My normal morning routine is to drink coffee while I read and study while I am still in my pajamas. I had to get dressed in order to get coffee in the breakfast area. Also I was disappointed and surprised there was no comfortablle chair and foot rest in the room. That feature has always been available in hotel rooms. I did sit in what I would label a desk chair and did posiiton myself in the bed for my reading time, but neither was very comfortable.
