"To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a hotel in a village like Chau doc, and I was super skeptical with my 2 American spoilt kids who expect nothing but the best. But I was in for a very pleasant surprise. The rooms were very clean, and the hotel manager and owner, James, went out of his way to ensure our every need was met. "There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it."
