"A nice hotel that has recently been renovated, with some areas still requiring completion. Our room was comfortable, however there was an unpleasant smell emanating from the drain plugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a large variety of foods. Good location, near the river."

"A wonderful but ageing hotel. Staff are courteous and very professional. Rooms are great and spacious. However, the hotel in general is looking old and in need of a refurbishment, especially considered the £155 price tag. In BKK it faces stiff competition. Still a wonderful grand old lady of a hotel. Restaurants, boat shuttle, spacious rooms, and on-river restaurants are its strong points."
