"Nice rustic hotel. Room very spacious and full equipped Location is good Cleanest is good Reception is good. "Have stayed in a number of Mons hotels whilst i vacated my apartment in the town. This included 2 stays at the van der valk during October 2024. This time in room 103 for a week, nice big clean room, shower only. Very convenient for getting to my apartment and into the centre of town. Didn't use parking or breakfast. IKEA is 10 mins walk away and do a hot breakfast for a few euros. Also 10 mins walk to cafes etc. Van der Valk is easily best hotel in Mons, happy to recommend "

"Very disappointing. Extremely run down and desperately in need of full refurbishment. Staff members were pleasant and helpful and bedding / towels were clean, but room was in terrible condition and frankly unsafe (poor electricals, smoke alarm disabled etc.). There was no working wi-fi and decor was reminiscent of a 1980's Soviet backpacking hotel. Breakfast (included), was ok. Based on this experience, my advise would be 'avoid'!"
