"The best place we stayed during our Japan journey. We very much enjoyed our visit "which needed to be longer" and we'll simply have to come again. The rooms were very comfortable, the onsen was very nice and location was very relaxing and felt part of nature. We all enjoyed the wonderful meals as well. "

"We stayed here at the end of our Japan trip. The service was incredible, everyone was hopping up to help whenever we needed. Huang at the bell service specifically was very helpful to us. She helped us from start to finish. Food is expensive and there really isn’t another breakfast or dinner option around as most restaurants nearby close at 3-4pm. The food was good but not sure about value there. The room was spacious and there was a king bed which is hard to come by in Japan so we enjoyed that....

"The sun palace placed me a smoking room but accepted my non-smoking reservation. After making two complaints, before I was moved to a true non-smoking floor. "

"The hotel is clean and convenient. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of variety. The Onsen experience was wonderful with beautiful view of the mountains. The room we had was very comfortable for three people. "

"Excellent hotel with very attentive staff, although the dining options were quite expensive. Some vegan options would have been perfect! Beautiful views of Lake Biwa from our room, and loved the hotel shuttle bus to and from Otsu station. Thanks!"
