"our stay was perfect other than the breakfast which we thought was overpriced and barely warm and the bacon imo was under cooked and no variety from day to day! Also the food menus in the grill I thought were poor! alright if you like chicken but again not much to choose from. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and the location was very good."

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "Positives: The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds & interior of the hotel are stunning. Staff were very attentive Negatives: No wardrobe although hangers are suspended from a bar for you to hang clothes. No iron & ironboard provided. No tissue box. Hole in hand towel. Room hadn't been cleaned properly - cobwebs on inside of window, TV remote covered in dust, dust in mirror edges"
