We booked a modern hotel, the Hayward Inn, and we were housed in a shabby adjacent motel called the Franklin and had to walk three flights with our luggage. The shower knob was broken. The motel was like something I stayed in with my parents in the 80s. It felt like a bait-and-switch.

Everything was amazing, except for one small thing. When we went to use the coffee machine the morning after we checked in, there was a used coffee pod in the machine. Besides that, the room was large and very clean. The balcony was quite nice to sit on and enjoy both in the evening and morning. The staff here were bery friendly, helpful, and professional. The next time we are in Eugene, this will be our go-to hotel.

When we checked into our room we noticed our bed looked slept in. The sheets were all messy and wrinkled. We told the front desk and they said they would have someone re make the bed. They put in a work order but nothing was done. We were there 3 nights and no one came to our room. We asked again and they said the manager on duty was on vacation and they were told not to bother them. This is a bad run hotel.

My only objection to my stay was the microfiber sheets, boo! Went to Target for second night and purchased cotton and remade bed. Even though it was a nice place wouldn’t stay again because of bedding!

The photos make the property seem as though you stay in a building with a pool inside. I was booked in a building in the back with no pool. There was no way I was going to walk in the dark through the parking lot to another building to use the pool. It was not a safe bet. I was told I could not change my room location. There was no one at the front desk in the evening when I wanted coffee and creamer to use the in-room coffee maker. The sheets and pillowcases were not clean and smelled of the last persons sweat and cologne, I wanted to throw up when I smelled it. So that was my experience.
