"Well, when I got there, I had spa treatment there before check-in, but was able to check in early, which was very nice. The spa was very nice. My Masseuse was great. I came in with a walker, but the staff helped me get the walker down and treated me with the upmost kindness. Also, after checking in the hotel, we upstairs got checked in room was cool. The view was beautiful. Had an ocean view. We did use service. They were very quick very accommodating. We also had Christmas brunch at The Galvez...

"Top 2 floors Under renovation...at the time we stayed....our room was not one of renovated but was very good for all elements. Pool area with Jiggers Lounge was excellent.. Food very good...recommend the stay for anyone...location across from seawall..."

"The room was a great size at a great price. The only problems were non smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes, we didn't have enough bath towels for everyone to take a shower unless we wanted to dry off with a hand towel, and the blackout curtains weren't all the way hung on the curtain rod so it wasn't dark in the rooms with the lights off. There was also fist holes in the doors. All in all it was pretty good for the price and a good location. The only real problem was the cigarette smell....
