Tho hotel is clean and rooms are very spacious. We really liked our room and how nice everything was but didn’t like the parking arrangement. Because we were told to park in the Waitrose parking area across from the hotel. There are limited parking and then you have to exit via the shop’s door with your luggage. Other than that it was perfect. The breakfast was really good but the staff could be a little more attentive and pay more attention to the cleanliness of the plates and glasses .

I’ve booked 3 rooms. The lifts r not working for last3 weeks. We were given room on 3rd floor my poor mum struggled to climb up. Upon ringing reception they said oh we have service lift.came back from dinner asked to use lift oh sorry you can’t use it at this time. Bedspreads shave stains on them the stairs on the other side have strong smell on weed. We had to call staff and inform them about the smell. When I complained to Expedia about the lift they lied and said we emailed the customer. There was no email as I had to go down and speak to receptionist. Please check with property before you book

As a frequent traveler I find this hotel to be in constant deterioration. I was only informed the lift was out of service (and repair date not known) after I was checked-in. Just ridiculous, and as luck (bad) would have it, I hurt my ankle 20min before arriving at the hotel, so there I go. The staircase access to rooms looked dodgy and dated. Don’t even want to mention my breakfast encounter. However I think they have a good range for breakfast.

Room 301 was on the small side with the double bed hard up against the wall on one side leaving entry only accessible from one side. Bathroom was dated with a crack in the sink and paint peeling off the ceiling. Either side of the room was the service lift and the store room for house keeping. It was quite though and the rest of the hotel was fine. I would go for a larger room if I visit again. Easy walking to many coffee shops, bars and restaurants and across the road from the Botanical Gardens.

Property seemed very nice, though the picture advertised is a”wee” bit different. Hotel looks lovely inside but had a weird dam smell in the hallways. Like many hotels in Europe - NO AC which is rough, but they did bring up a small fan. Surrounding area is cute with little shops, bars and cafes and seemed cleaner - less graffiti and more “Kept up” than central Glasgow. They obviously need to spend more money to clean it up and its reminds me of some crappy areas in Manhattan that have bend let go. But hotel was nice though a little pricey and staff were very nice. If we stay again I’m definitely going to try their restaurant!

This is a 3 star hotel. Not 4 star. Room cleaning is spotty and unpredictable. More like 3 stars. Location is great.

Great short stay
We had a great stay for 1 night - so convenient for going to a wedding nearby at Oran Mor. Double room was clean and modern and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for getting ready. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Top tip - if parking at the hotel, the hotel spaces are on top floor of nearby Waitrose multi-storey car park. If using sat nav, you might end up at the back of the hotel where there is different on street parking payable via an app.

The Grosvenor was let down by cheap touches in the rooms (mini fridge was a tiny, cheap off brand, plastic fan model) and poor service (we requested a glass for the room, when only one was supplied, it was not supplied and we had to fetch our own from the bar). The breakfast was also lacklustre, poor quality food all self service in the oddly named bovine restaurant. Must do better if they want to keep up with modern hotels.
