"Customer service was excellent, and hotel staff were accommodating and beyond friendly. Our room had a pleasant balcony, and we easily Ubered from the hotel to wherever we needed to go in the city. Breakfast buffet and the coffee options were also excellent!:) We did struggle with not being able to contact the lodge on our way in (we tried reaching out through the Expedia app but got no response), as we hoped for airport pickup or transportation suggestions. Unfortunately we did not hear back...

"The property was an electrical hazard. It was not clean and we had no hot water due to a leaking tap. We were made aware of the leak an hour before we booked in and they said it would be fixed the next day. What they did not tell us was that we would have no hot water and the leak was so bad that we had to use towels to stop the bathroom floor flooding. We moved out after one night. The place was terrible."

"A hidden gem in Cape Town! We only stayed 2 nights but it was more than enough to recommend this place to others. The guest house is located very conveniently from both the V&A and the stadium. Both are walkable or a very short drive away. The building itself is lovely, very clean and well decorated. Our room was large and very tidy with a huge comfortable bed and large patio area. "The couch, carpet and chair in the lounge were filthy. The place also smelled like it was standing closed for months. We kept the door open constantly for fresh air. The bathrooms can also do with extractor fans. Coffee machine missing, as well as docking station, but there was a used (dirty) espresso cup on the counter when we arrived. Some towels had holes from old age. Only 2 teaspoons in the drawer, and when you needed a normal glass, you had to get one from the bed- or bathroom. The bar is...

"I loved staying at the Sunflower Stop. It was a clean, nice hostel. My only complaint was that the room I was staying in was pretty noisy so it was sometimes hard to fall asleep at night and the door was really difficult to unlock. I would stay here again though!"
