"Lovely place. Spotlessly clean. Excellent communication. Fantastic location very close to Puzzlewood and the Wye Valley. Lovely to arrive to Welsh cakes and fresh milk. A few things that may not be immediately evident from the photos and might be of interest to some. 1) the large garden in the photos is the proprietor’s private garden. The granary’s garden is the small garden with the patio in the photos. 2) the double bed is a 4’6 double not a king so may be a little cosy for taller people....

"Lovely, well equipped property in beautiful, peaceful location, but only short drive to pubs for good food and nearby Monmouth - lovely town with great selection of supermarkets and individual shops and eateries. Beware the 2 speed bumps on your final approach to the property. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We spent three nights at this amazing little cottage. Prior to arrival we were given a key code for accessing the property, but the owner was outside to see us. The owners were at the end of the phone but did not bother us at all. There was milk, bread, butter and a delicious home baked cake left for us. The cottage was quaint and generally clean and tidy. However, the shower needs a bit of attention as it was grimy around the tiles and seal. The extractor needed a good hoover as was thick...

"We really enjoyed our stay at stable cottage. Excellent location with only a 5 minute walk into the town through the beautiful local church grounds. Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and the hot tub was ready to use on arrival. Small outside garden area is enclosed which was perfect to let our dog out into."

"Really lovey place to stay if you just want peace and quiet, very basic and very romantic and secluded. Just hear in mind your only cooking appliances are a cooking hob. So any meals you plan on cooking must be cookable in a saucepan or frying pan. That being said the rose and crown in Michaelchurch."
