"Lily pad could be wonderful. Its setting is beautiful. I was really looking forward to staying. However the lodge is damp and the heating is wholly inadequate, the macerator in the shower room had leaked under the laminate floor and was still leaking on my arrival.The property was a health hazard. It stank and the noise of the macerator and vent was horribly noisy. Paymán expected me to stay let a handyman try and fixit.he was due to get to me in an hour. I had arrived at 5:40 at 6:50they...

"I didn't receive any instructions for self check in until I called the letting agent. The property is dark and dingy. It smelled damp and was cluttered with unnecessary furniture (large sofa foot stool, 4 armchairs, 4chairs, fridge freezer & non working fridge, for a double room). The decor is very worn with signs of damage. The carpets are stained. The external area was very overgrown with weeds. The TV remote didn't work and there was no TV ariel connected. They send details about requiring a timed meet and greet to check ID and charge extra if you arrive in the evening. We had to change our plans as a result. "Overall excellent accommodations for a fair price. The only big missing item was that the property info, and the reservation, don't actually say where you are supposed to check in when you get there. If you don't know the British house system, you don't know that the Porter's Lodge is the place to check in to a college. I and about a dozen other, independent guests, all wandered around the property trying to figure out where to check in. You should have this information prominantly in your hotel...
