"It was uniquely terrible. Access was beyond terrible. No vehicular access and a long long steep uphill path of steps and rough concrete. Impossible for anybody with the slightest walking issues. The house is situated in a building site. The garden is a total mess. The pool is unkept. The free public parking is a plain fabrication. The room shower is rough concrete. "Great View of the mountains. Nice Place but bé aware that it is a bit of a walk uphill through some untended terrain at times in Case you have heavy suitcases. Not sure if we were Too early or late in the season but we were the only ones in this accommodation and some of the lights were not working. The staff were excellent as was the dinner!"

"Great place, though A hike from nearest village. Friendly service. Clean accommodations given remote location. Mattresses hit and miss. We had four mattresses and one felt like it was stuffed with sand. "

The Moroccan cuisine, lovingly prepared by a wonderful lady, was a highlight of our stay—every dish, especially the tagines, was an absolute delight. The setting of Relais Esmeralda is enchanting, combining tranquility, comfort, and authentic decor that invites relaxation. The suites are spacious, elegantly decorated, and provide all the comfort needed for a restful stay. We also loved the activities on offer, particularly the quad and buggy excursion to the Agafay desert, a truly memorable adventure. Located just 35 km from Marrakech, this peaceful haven is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Atlas Mountains. We were captivated by this magical place and can't wait to return."

Beautiful property overlooking the lake

"Absolutely amazing property. Such wonderful attention to detail in the architecture, layout, location. The common spaces are so peaceful and beautiful. Lovely pools. Rooms immaculately clean and well furnished in cool style. All the staff, from the restaurant to the housekeepers were so kind and helpful, and of course professional. Only negative point was the food which was a bit overpriced for what it was. Otherwise a lovely place we'd certainly be happy to visit again. "
