From check-in to assisting with booking any tours/tickets/dinner reservations Fred at the front desk was always so helpful and greeted me by name every time he was there. Fred made it so easy to plan my adventures, helped with suggestions anytime I needed, was very responsive on WhatsApp when I was out exploring Rio, and spoke great English which helped my lack of Portuguese. "I’ve stayed at the arena Copacabana before. Both very good hotels. I was surprised they don’t have a basic sewing kit. Every hotel in America has one because during travel sometimes buttons fall off, but the staff were otherwise great "

"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"My stay at El Misti was superb!! I stayed in a private room during 7-13 November. It was my first time in Rio, and this was the perfect place to meet people!! They organise lots of events, and having easy access to the beach with a ticket for a free chair is an addes bonus! I can definitely recommend El Misti to others, and will likely stay here (or at least visit the amazing bar during happy hour!!) when I return, muito obrigado El Misti!! Tom"
