4/5 - Good
Kandy is a charming city - a bit noisy and busy - but it has energy. It also has a large number of very good 3,4 and 5-star hotels. Do not choose the Thilanka! Go to the Cinnamon, the Hotel Suisse or the Fox Resort instead.
When in Hantana, you can plan a visit to Ceylon Tea Museum and Wales Park, some noteworthy sights in the nearby area.
If you're looking for some top things to see and do in Richmond Hill and surrounding area, you can visit Ceylon Tea Museum and Wales Park.

Lovely city, lovely people
Very busy crowded city
Kandy is very important place for Sri Lankan people because of the Maligawa temple and historically. Well worth a visit
Apart from botanical gardens, which are fantastic, not much else to see in Kandy
Lot of fun except a little exploitation by local travel agents
