We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. "This is one of our favourite hotels and was our fourth time staying there. The location is excellent- right in the centre of town- but peaceful. The staff are v friendly and helpful; great breakfast; on site parking which is particular helpful in La Rochelle. A wonderful spa. Generally a lovely place to relax"
