"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"Absolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. "This is a lovely hotel. It is right on the Loire and very central. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed. It is completely quiet at night with brilliant curtains that keep the light out. Breakfast is delicious and great value. We found parking to be fairly easy and we found a spot opposite the hotel. Saumur is a beautiful city and we had a fantastic visit. I highly recommend Hôtel Anne d'Anjou."
