Very good accommodation, choices of bar and lounges, immaculate decor, airy and welcoming, super-friendly staff. I had a very nice single room with a massive ensuite shower room in sparkling condition. Had 2 nights there on my way to and from Stornoway. Super breakfasts to order, and also lucky enough to be there on a Sunday for their really excellent Sunday Roast Carvery. Ryan goes out of his way to ensure everyone has a good experience, and his team are amazing! Will certainly stay again.

The Hotel with a Knight in Shining Armour!
A very interesting historic building, our room was prepared with a good choice of tea, coffee and chocolate drinks to use. The bedroom was traditionally decorated in keeping with the building, and importantly the bed was comfortable - we slept well. We understand that gradually there is some updating being done in parts of the hotel. The dining/breakfast room is lovely, and Ryan and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you. Rose and Colin

Good service in overwhelming circumstances.
Welcomed by Manager who explained that it had been a festival weekend and had been very busy and had proved too much for the chef who had quit. The evening was staffed by the manager on chef duties and one lady coping with bar and restaurant duties. In spite of this, food was good and service remarkably efficient and friendly.. The following morning, breakfast was cooked and served by the manager who coped cheerfully well. I must congratulate both him and the waitress.

Great hotel in the town centre. The room was warm and the bed was very comfy. I parked outside the hotel as i had a van. All in it was a very enjoyable stay and i would return again when in the area.

Clean and tidy
Nice hotel, decor slightly dated but very clean, and lovely owner who was very helpful and welcoming. I didnā€™t eat here at night but breakfast was excellent with good hot and cold choices. My stay was slightly marred by my extremely noisy neighbour - unfortunately the walls are very thin, and he made a lot of noise all night meaning I didnā€™t sleep well. However, not the fault of the hotel

The staff was wonderful. The hotel was built in the 1600s, so very rich in history but lacking in modern conveniences. Not accessible for people with mobility issues as there is no lift to the second floor where the guest rooms are located. The food service was good.

I found the hotel old and outdated The room is basic and the shower didnt work I found long black hairs in the bathroon and the bedroom carpet was covered in stains. The curtains didnt close properly and had briken hooks The wardrobe looked like it could fall forwards at any point I informed reception that i would be leaving on the sunday not the monday as planned but because it was pre booked i had to pay full price

The best place to stay in Lockerbie in my opinion. Central, good team there, garaged parking for my motorcycle, great food, amazing breakfast and super comfy bed.
