"The unusual decor is what first attracted me to the Cocoon. The Alps adventure theme was compelling. The elevator simulated a gondola ride up the mountains! The location was ideal - convenient to Munich's main train station. The 'green' features, such as the need to use your room card to have lighting, were not explained at check-in. I suspect that this was partly due to a language issue. Overall, Cocoon was a good choice for a visit to Munich."

"We stayed for 4 nights. It is in a very busy neighbourhood, the street side is quite busy so if you sleep with the window open it can be a bit disruptive, but when it was closed it was fine. The room was great, bed is comfy. The hotel is a short walk to the train station and not far from Marianplatz. "We had previously stayed at the property that’s a few blocks away Hotel Cocoon Hauptbahnhof and this one is definitely more worn and the surrounding area has adult entertainment and a sketch feel. Our travelmate tripped on a low stupid level change and had a nasty fall, luckily was not badly hurt. The step is marked but it’s such a low small step that it’s incredibly easily missed. The staff was very nice and helpful and we were glad not to have a hospital visit. Would choose Hotel Cocoon...

"Hotel is in a good Location. In desperate need of renovation. Beds are old, uncomfortable and make loud noise every time you move. Toilet ran every couple of minutes for the length of our stay.
