"I stayed here for 3 nights after sailing for two weeks out of Yacht Haven Marina. The resort is very well kept, clean and super comfortable. The bar staff are excellent and friendly. Kin and Matt are excellent managers. Very kid-friendly. Good energy relative to other resorts I have been to in the area. Close to the airport and the marina; about an hour taxi to Patong (the party town of the island). "

"Mai Khao Beach Guest House is possible Phuket's best kept secret. It's only 3 colorful bungalows tucked away a short walk from the beach. Everything is brand new and spotless. The beach itself is almost free from tourists. Walk north and you will only meet local fishermen for 5 km. The owner of the bungalows and his wife are the nicest people.
