"This is an excellent pub. The service was exceptional, the food was very good and the ambience and atmosphere fantastic. This is a characterful old building with lots of books and crannies. Good beer too. The accommodation is good - a little like motel accommodation at the back of the pub in separate purpose-built buildings. It was comfortable and suited our needs well. Would definitely return. "

"Attended a family wedding. Staff, service, food and venue as a whole were all excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed our chat with the head chef (Ale) who we met outside the vegetable garden, great guy, passionate about the hotel, menu selection etc. Every meal was exceptional. Beds and rooms we very comfortable."

"Really great place to stay if en route to the Shuttle. Welcoming staff, clean rooms, spacious with tea/coffee facilities. Shower excellent. Adjacent free parking. Only downside is the poor service area next door. OK if you like McDonalds - only offering in the evening. Even Costa closes around 1800. Good value for money though. Recommended"
