"I booked via expedia. My issues with this place are with EXPEDIA. Foreign Tourists please read: The listing did not clearly state that the room did not come with a bathroom OR that there was no shower in the building. Each floor has 1 male and 1 female washroom. The female washroom has 2 toilet stalls. There is no shower in the building. To bathe you must go next door and use the Amanohashidate Hotel's onsen. This onsen is amazing but it's inconvenient to have to go outside of your hotel to bathe. There is zero soundproofing in the room. You can hear and easily get disturbed by those opening their doors and walking/talking in the hallway. Each night I had to sleep using my noise cancelling headphones. There is no elevator. Be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Access to Amanohashidate Hotel onsen was my favourite part of this trip. Overall the room and washroom were clean, and staff were kind, and they provided regular extra towels. But book only if your comfortable with the dorm/capsule style sharing of bathrooms and bring ear plugs"

"This has been one of our favourite rooms on our visit to Japan. It was stylish, clean and quite spacious. The bed was super comfy. The staff were gracious and were able to communicate well in English, which we appreciated."

"The hotel and rooms are amazing. The only downside is there is not a hotel restaurant. However there is a food outlets just adjacent."

"We had a great stay at this hotel. Our room request was fulfilled. Good location, quiet, and the staff (from the cleaners to the manager) were both helpful and courteous. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Shout out to Lakshita who has been quite kind and helpful during our stay. "

"Beautiful view over the bay. Lovely lounge open from 9-11 with free snacks and drinks. Fridge and kettle in room. Drying rack for clothes. Sitting area. Hotel is nice in lobby but rooms are quite dated. "

"Not good. Got a window-less room with paper-thin walls, could hear the bloke next door talk to the missus/kids on the phone (tbf wasnt even talking loudly), others snore etc. Breakfast was also poor (at least the 'gaijin' part of it) It's a pity cause the location is great, rental bikes are free, there are plenty of cafes/things to do nearby."
