Amazing place, and Olivier is an excellent host. 10/10. Just be prepared for driving through unpaved roads to get there, but its worth it.

The guest house was isolated and the journey from the airport was long and the last 5 miles was on unpaved tracks, almost impassable in places. I would recommend a 4x4 if you want to sightsee and eat other than in the guesthouse. We booked for 3 nights and stayed 1. Not a zen like experience.

Amazing location very rural and away from the hustle and bustle of any city. A great place to relax, take in the views and have some time in nature. Simon was great and an amazing chef. Definitely would go again.

Beautiful and remote
A beautiful property which Katarina keeps looking absolutely immaculate. Stunning views, lovely pool, comfortable rooms and delicious, albeit pricey, food. The only thing to be aware of is just how remote and off the beaten track this is. If you’re after a retreat like quiet, rural break it is perfect.

Great, but...
The B&B is lovely: newly renovated, comfortable, chic. The remoteness of the location is wonderful, but it does make food options impossibly limited to only being catered by the hotel. The food is really tasty, but on a pricey side (€25 for a one dish meal for 1), and this being Spain is quite painful. There are two super friendly dogs on site, well behaved and always happy to see you - a real bonus for us. The weekend after we left, there was some kind of family celebration and we were a bit surprised that the "Adults only" place hosted a couple with a child for a few of days prior to this. I wouldn't have mentioned this, if we were approached and talked about it with the owners, since we were paying customers. All in all - lovely.

Loved the hotel. Service was very good. The only problem we had was finding the location. Would advise the owners to post better directions and a clear map on line.

Vi bokade boende i 3 nätter via Expedia i södra spanien. När vi kom i närheten av där boendet låg så upptäckte vi att boendet inte finns med på någon karta, gps, eller några skyltar som visade hur vi skulle köra. Ringde och försökte få tag på boendets kontakt person men fick inget svar någon gång. Efter 2 dygn får vi ett mail från en person som verkar representera boendet med en räkning på mat och boende. Expedia ersatte efter mycket om och men 1 natt utav 3. Bokar aldrig via dem igen.

Sauber bis auf Ratte im Pool! Der Weg zum B&B ist abenteuerlich! Das B&B ist oben in den Bergen von Malaga gelegen und ohne Koordinaten nicht zu finden! Gibt man im Navi die offizielle Adresse, die bei Expedia angegeben ist, ein, landet man ganz woanders. Die Koordinaten wurden uns erst in der Nacht zuvor zugeschickt. Eine "hervorragende" Lage können wir leider nicht bestätigen. Die Wege zur Unterkunft sind schmal, steinig, ungesichert und teils sehr steil! Gerade in der Dunkelheit ist der Weg aus unserer Sicht für Ortsfremde extrem gefährlich. Bei Regen ist die Straße - auch nach Aussage des Personals - gar nicht mit normalen Autos (d.h. kein Jeep) befahrbar aufgrund von Erdrutschgefahr! Am nächsten Morgen wollten wir baden gehen und fragten sogar, ob der Pool bereit stünde. Die Frage wurde bejaht. Doch leider war der Pool stark verunreinigt - große Insekten und eine Ratte schwammen darin. Daher reisten wir am selben Tag noch ab!

Mooi en stijlvolle B&B met lekker zwembad Schitterend uitzicht en ruige natuur. Twee erg lieve en leuke waakhonden. Echterrrrr: je zit van alles en iedereen verlaten en de weg ernaar toe is een uitdaging dus in ons geval blij dat we maar 2 dagen hadden geboekt. Wil je een week mediteren en niemand zien moet je hier zeker naar toe! De enige tip die wij willen geven is dat het ontbijt wat aan de karige kant is. Geen vers brood, eitje, worstje etc... Tevens zijn de prijzen voor een maaltijdsalade en tosti of pasta best pittig. De steengrill was helemaal top!

Lontanissimo e pericolosissimo arrivarci, strade di montagna con burroni a Strapiombo, servizio pessimo, in una settimana non ci è mai stata rifatta la stanza, Il personale ci ha preso a parolacce in francese pensando che io non lo parlassi. La piscina è dei Cani che ci sguazzano e bevono l’acq Tutto il giorno. Dopo 5 giorni ho dovuto cambiare albergo per Disperazione

Un coin de Paradis
Lo Vela zen se situe dans les hauteurs de Malaga à 1h de tout. La route est par endroit difficile d'accès, mais je vous assure que ça en vaux la chandelle. Le confort et là, le cadre est sa situation géographique sont à couper le souffle. Si vous cherchez le grand air Lo Vela zen est fait pour vous. Dépaysement total garantie. Olivier Le gérant est un personnage attachant par sa personnalité. Super accueillant, disponible et à l'écoute de tout, il à vraiment le sens du contact et ne souhaite qu'une chose: Votre bien être. A la moindre question n'hésité pas à le joindre par téléphone. Il parle très bien le français et maitrise bien les bases d'anglais et d'espagnol. Petit déjeuner, piscine, Bar, (repas sur réservation) sont disponibles. Les chambres d'hôte sont fonctionnel et confortable à la fois. Besoin d'idées d'excursion? de conseil sur des lieux à visiter? une petite faim? un cocktail en bord de piscine? Olivier et sont équipe sauront vous satisfaire en tout temps. Lo Vela zen est un lieu de détente et de convivialité. Que ce soit avec le personnel ou les résidents de passage, tout se prête à la bonne humeur et au partage comme se retrouver à table à essayer de communiquer en 5 langues différents ( je souris encore en y repensant) Pour finir je tiens à remercier LE TRIO DE CHOC: Noha/Zven/Olivier Changez pas!!!! biz

Pragtfuldt men isoleret sted. Fantastiske omgivelser inde som ude. Minder mere om bed and breakfast end hotel. En fordel at tale spansk eller fransk da værtsparret ikke taler meget engelsk. Stedet kan være meget vanskeligt at finde og man skal være meget opmærksom på at komme den rette vej om bjerget. Meget venligt værtspar som synes at ånde for deres lille smukt beliggende og chick indrettede hotel.

Ein Paradies in den Bergen zum Entspannen
Lo Vela Zen liegt inmitten der andalusischen Berge mit spektakulärem Ausblick, es ist ein Paradies zum sich zurück ziehen, ausspannen und runterkommen. Das Frühstück ist erstklassig, auch sonst ist es möglich nach Wunsch mittags und abends vor Ort etwas zu essen - immer sehr lecker und in guter Qualität. Die Gastgeber, Catalina und Olivier, sind sehr herzlich, offen und zuvorkommend. Sie sprechen sehr gut Spanisch und Französisch, zur Verständigung auch Englisch. Da die Anfahrt ca. 40 Minuten über unbefestigte Bergstraßen geht, ist es gut, einen stabilen Mietwagen zu haben (Ford Focus war gut). Das Zimmer und Bad, der Pool, die Terasse, das Wohnzimmer, die Gesellschaft war wunderbar und wir werden sicher bei Gelegenheit wieder vorbeischauen.
