I very much appreciate the fact that they permitted my dog. I arrived late after many hours (about 12) of driving through several countries. I was exhausted. The place was clean and simple, exactly what I needed.

Excellent
We stayed here for 3 nights for a friends wedding. We had one of the cottages overlooking the small lake. It was very spacious with plenty of storage space and air conditioning which was most welcome . The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows. The living area was very traditionally furnished with murals on the wall of how the buildings used to look. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The parking was excellent. The restaurant had an extensive menu of local and international food all freshly cooked. Breakfast was great with a variety of hot and cold food and wonderful coffee. Our friends wedding reception was held here and boy do they know how to party. The decorations, food and local band were brilliant. There is plenty to do in the area Krevice waterfalls for one beautiful. The local town Medjugorge has a deep religious (catholic) history fascinating to see even if your not religious. I would recommend this hotel and I will visit again to explore further 3 days wasn’t long enough

Moving on....
This is a large complex a few Km from the centre of Medjugorje with various facilities including rooms in individual 'houses' and a hotel annex - we had chosen a standard double room and were in the latter. It was quite a distance from reception and restaurant and had no facilities - nearest cup of coffee 5 minutes walk away since no kettles were provided in the room or anywhere else in the hotel block- and no visible staff in the building, which resembled a residential Marie Celeste throughout our stay. The room itself was large, clean and modern, but we did not find the bed comfortable. There was a large balcony with a small table on it, but the walls around it were so high it wasn't a pleasant place to be. The public areas of the hotel block needed more attention to cleanliness, with stacks of used room service plates, uncleaned bathrooms and floors that needed vacuuming throughout the duration of our one night stay. Restaurant had a varied menu, our experienced was mixed with a good steak but rather tough pork kebab and food over salted. The breakfast choice and quality was good though, and staff were helpful and friendly. We may have not been lucky with this stay and maybe it would be a different experience in the superior rooms in the individual buildings which are closer to the restaurant and do have their own drinks facilities apparently (we asked). As it was, not too expensive but the set up in the hotel annex is not satisfactory and I would not stay there again

A real get-away.
It was a very pleasant stay, with friendly, mostly English-speaking staff. The free breakfast buffet had a decent variety to choose from. We spent all our days and evenings in the village of Medjugorje, so we didn't use most of the amenities. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower stall was slightly larger than some European ones we've seen, with plenty of hot water. The air conditioner cooled the room adequately. The grounds are very well-maintained. The location is quiet. The hotel caters weddings and other events (there were 2 events during our one-week stay), but we could barely hear anything from our room, so we didn't find it disturbing. The event guests respected the reserved parking for registered guests.

Things to consider before booking
The hotel itself was good but there are a couple of bits of information that might help other travelers make their decision. Firstly the pool is not a hotel pool it is a public pool that you get access to by showing your key fob, the entrance price is normally about 2 euros. The pool was very busy and there were no free sunbeds free anytime we went so while the views from the pool were great, as in the hotels leaflet and the pool was well kept it was not easy to enjoy them in peace. Secondly although the hotel is on a large site it is in an industrial area outside of the town with the towers of what looks like a concrete factory visible over a berm from one carpark and a coach park visible from another. This means that while it is a bit far to walk into Medjugorje you are not in a rural setting however the site is still quite peaceful.

Beautiful Experience Near Medjugorje
This is much more than a hotel. This was an experience! I do not think that I have had a more enjoyable experience staying at any of the 5 star hotels I have been in. It is professionally managed and maintained. The rooms were spotless and the staff was extremely courteous. In addition, if that wasn't enough, the restaurant has fantastic food. I have not had a better filet mijone anywhere in the world. My wife and I stayed in a beautiful little stone cottage on the premises with a flowing pond right outside our cottage. The cottage had a separate bedroom and living room with free Wi-Fi that had a very strong signal. There are several stone cottages on the property, but even the larger stone quarters look beautiful, clean and decorated with flowers. I can not say enough positive things about this experience! It is also only 3 kilometers from Medjugorje and the St. James Catholic Church.

A very unique experience
We only stayed at this hotel for a night before heading to the Kravica waterfalls the next day. We found this hotel very strange, it's basically a spiritual retreat, where you will be "returning to your roots, a place where the soul is resting and the body is fortifying". There's a chapel, stables, museum, restaurant and bar, shops, it's basically a little village right outside your door. We stayed in a private stone cottage, which was quite nice. It had a modern bathroom and cottage was quite spacious. The food in the restaurant was good, although we did not find the staff very friendly (unlike our stay in Croatia) and the breakfast was a feast for a family of 6, way too much food for 2 people. Not sure if I would stay there again as I wasn't crazy about the area. The hotel is also very difficult to find.

Perfect retreat
The hotel in general was great! The sraff were friendly and helpfull. Food was really good. The surrounds were lacking, kind of in the middle of no where village. The fa db ilities, food as nd sraff made up for it. i would definitely stay again. Thinking about it, its probably better being in the middle of no where, for the quiet after a spiritual experience.
