Top Melbourne Central Business District Historic Hotels

The Hotel Windsor
5.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (1001)
"I love The Windsor and have stayed there over the years and wanted to give my daughter a treat. The room was lovely, I understand that all rooms cannot have a view, but the noise of the air conditioner was too much for me, I did not have a good night's rest. But I will try again as this is the first time that this has happened to me. "

"The only downside was check in. My full first name was not on the booking, so they would not let me check in until the name was changed through hotels.com officially. “Name does not match Licence”. Anyway, after a delay of 30 minutes, we could check in. Other than that, I would stay there again. "

Mantra on Russell Melbourne
4.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (2349)
"Good location. Not a super modern hotel, but clean and comfy. I would stay here again. It was very easy to navigate the city either by foot or tram from this property. Minor criticism - I dislike having a shower over bath (as a lot of people do), and the fact the bathroom door opens against the vanity. The bathroom size is fine, but the configuration is just a little annoying. Our room size was great and the little kitchenette was very handy. Bed/pillows were comfy. Staff at reception...
