"We loved our stay at Piece Hostel Kyoto - the staff a helpful and friendly, the decor of the common area / kitchen is amazing and there are were brilliant facilities - lots of cooking utensils and we were so impressed with the coffee beans, hand grinders and v60s!! The rooms are basic but with a huge super comfy double bed, we had no issues with noise but free earplugs were provided, 10/10!"

"Stayed for three nights with our 12 and 9 year old. Room comfortable - double bed under bunks for children. Clean, friendly. Breakfast available bread/toast jam , boiled eggs, orange juice. Very easy for laundry - washing machine and dryer in bathroom - 200 yen for washing machine - drying room on our balcony and roof. Dryer 100yen for 20 minutes - fine to finish drying off after being on balcony. Common room area downstairs with cooking facilities and glasses etc. - we had great fun...

"Our experience here at Coto Toji was amazing, from the beginning a driver was waiting us at Kyoto station and he was the one that did the check in at the property. His name is Kibune, an old short funny Japanese guy who made pleasant our first hour in Kyoto. " The pictures online when I did the booking did not match the room in reality. I know we were in Japan, so I was not expecting a huge space, however this room was extremely tiny, dirty, the covers on the bed had stains on them, the walls all over the room had brown stains on them and the bathroom had mould growing on the ceiling.
