"Our experience here at Coto Toji was amazing, from the beginning a driver was waiting us at Kyoto station and he was the one that did the check in at the property. His name is Kibune, an old short funny Japanese guy who made pleasant our first hour in Kyoto. Everything was awesome regarding this property, we enjoyed our futons and the “crazy” equipped bathroom . It is very close to Toji station subway and the bus # 207, which is the most convenient one, it takes you to the most important sites...

"Stayed for three nights with our 12 and 9 year old. Room comfortable - double bed under bunks for children. Clean, friendly. Breakfast available bread/toast jam , boiled eggs, orange juice. Very easy for laundry - washing machine and dryer in bathroom - 200 yen for washing machine - drying room on our balcony and roof. Dryer 100yen for 20 minutes - fine to finish drying off after being on balcony. Common room area downstairs with cooking facilities and glasses etc. - we had great fun...

" The pictures online when I did the booking did not match the room in reality. I know we were in Japan, so I was not expecting a huge space, however this room was extremely tiny, dirty, the covers on the bed had stains on them, the walls all over the room had brown stains on them and the bathroom had mould growing on the ceiling. It was by far the worst place I have stayed at. I was scared to breath or touch anything, I have travelled extensively and have stayed at airbnbs, luxury hotels and bed...
