The food was good. Loved the pork chop and the chips were some of the best ever tasted.
However very disappointed that the starter came to my table at the same time as the main course. Never had that before. Offered breakfast to be left outside my room? No thanks. Offered yogurt.,. No thanks. No discount for not having breakfast and the poor service at supper. The lady who served me was very pleasant and obviously overworked and under staffed. I can honestly say I won't be coming to stay with you again!!!!!
This was a lovely place but there was no interaction with owners and to have a hamper left outside your room with no communication was a bit odd. We had to communicate via text message which was not very friendly. Perhaps this is the way forward!!
The place was clean, staff Friendly & food lovely. But the building looking tired & is in need of maintenance. The main problem was the noise. We were in the captain's suite. Which seems to have the owners family accommodation next to & above the room. I was hoping for a quiet few days away but instead had to listen to there dog whining at a joining door to our room & loads of banging around upstairs. You can also hear the people in the next room clearly.
We were also very disappointed to be let down on a pre booked meal for my partner's birthday. We were only informed at breakfast on that day that there was no meals that evening because it was the chef's day off. Staff were apologetic & offered to recommend other options.
