"Dinner was great (pleasant surprise) and it was lovely to have a small hot springs bath/tub off the deck of our room. Bus was our only option, really, that far up the hill - so would plan some cushion into your day for that when getting around. "

"This property was beautiful and the onsens were amazing. We loved that the baths were private so that our children could use them as well. We had dinner at the property and it was delicious and quite a treat. Anyone planning to stay should know that this property is not very walkable. It is not only further away than other properties, it is on a hillside. We utilized taxis a great deal. This property was also not clean. There was mold growing on the walls and bugs (mosquitos?) smashed...

"We were worried about what the in-room half open bath would be like, but it exceeded our expectations. Even though it rained when we arrived, it certainly gave a different vibe. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff we dealt with were very friendly! If we get a chance to go again, we definitely want to stay for 2 nights to try the different kaiseki dinner options and check out the other private onsen options. "

"Hotel Okada has an agreement with the hotspring spa next door. This was wonderful and unexpected. There is a convenient shuttle that goes to town for a very reasonable price. But there was no air-conditioning, so be careful going there if it is a hot season. "

"Gora Hanaougi is the nicest place we have ever stayed. We felt valued and appreciated as guests from the very start all the way to our departure. A wonderful facility, super attentive staff, and amazing food made for a memorable two night stay."

"The property is very safe and quiet. We can see Mount Fuji from the balcony. There are some very good traditional Japanese restaurants around this area, we tried several of them, we experienced the Japanese culture and delicious food at the same time. "Historical property in stunning settings, Staff is kind and very helpful Miss Park we loved your kindness.Beautiful property grounds ,excelent food choices.The bed and pillows were so comfortable i slept my best in the last 10 years . I bought their pillows and taking them back to California ,then ordering the mattress from home. We will return to stay at least a week next time. Thank you for making our trip very special."

We want more Hanaori days

"The best place we stayed during our Japan journey. We very much enjoyed our visit "which needed to be longer" and we'll simply have to come again. The rooms were very comfortable, the onsen was very nice and location was very relaxing and felt part of nature. We all enjoyed the wonderful meals as well. "

"The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful when we needed assistance! The team at the Mt. Fuji hotel were very friendly and assisted us with whatever we needed. The view of Mount Fuji from the hotel was amazing! We ended up walking up the mountain to the hotel, as we did not initially know about the shuttle bus but that did not prove to be too difficult. We had a fantastic time at Mt. Fuji hotel!! "

"Probably the most convenient location in town. Right next to JR and Shinkansen but you don’t hear the trains at all. Bus stop right in front, or walk 100 meters to the train station and all the buses stop there too. Shopping, food, mall, dessert, everything is within a 5 min walk. The beach is a 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes by bus. Super friendly staff, spacious, modern rooms. Will stay again! 10/10!"
