The property was good in its early years but now is desperately in need of renovation. The bedroom (Junior Suite) lacked the quality that such a room should have. For example the bathroom was small and tight and the sanitary wares old. The lack of updating the property had an impact on the enjoyment of the site. Laundries were limited. The site didn’t feel like a 4:5 star property.

The staff generally did not appear to be happy with their work conditions. They wore a pretty good mask but it was evident on some more than others that the conditions were not ideal. They did their best to provide service, so I appreciated that. The guest entry was good and some had smiles to share and were friendly. The rooms were basic but not sterile nor as clean. Excellence was not exuded at this property. My stay was pleasant which was better than the first time, at least when it was under another brand. I got strep throat based on the way the other brand (Holiday Inn) cleaned the utensils and cups. I remembered that experience and made sure I took my own drinking glass with me to ensure that I cleaned it myself and used it for my beverage. This time the food was excellent! I enjoyed the variety of what was prepared - kudos to the chefs and the kitchen staff. I enjoyed the meals. Entertainment was sub-par (friday night, was the best of the two nights of entertainment) the young lady had a beautiful voice and she included the guests in the entertainment. While inconsistent maybe they will make improvements in this area. I went there to rest and connect with family and that was great of all. You can come here and enjoy the various options. It would be good to see more locals taking part with the local wares for sale as long as it is done with customer service in mind. I cannot speak to much else. Would I return here? probably.

Catalonia (Holiday Inn) used to be my favorite place to go to however, when I booked my stay I was expecting the same energy and vibe like before. I don’t know if it’s because of the new management and they are probably trying to fix things but down to the drinks menu is limited and not much food options in the restaurants. I will be making a YouTube video with my honest review on Anthonette’s Diary feel free to subscribe and let me know what you think . Over all I would rate the entire experience 6/10… they only had bands as entertainment every night and the crowd wasn’t always feeling it . I am use to bands, dance groups etc coming in… definitely not what I expected .
