"We were there for three nights (16 through 19/Aug) due to family commitments. The hotel is beautiful but very, very hot! The thermostat in winter has been set to "tropical", as evidenced by guests wearing short sleeve tee shirts while lounging inside. When we started to feel ill we contacted front desk and tried to reset the temperature inside our room. Not possible. Only tu turn it off, and eventually we had to sleep with a window half open. "Spent three nights. Nice modern hotel. Large room with 2 double beds, large bathroom, kitchen area. Exercise room, tiny pool (2 ft depth), & sauna on top floor. Standard SA breakfast. Wine tasting every evening. Staff was generally okay. Be warned, there are a lot of fees on top of the room cost. Of course, breakfast & wine tasting. But also change of towels & change of linens that were not explained up front. It adds up."

"Our stay here was super and we enjoyed our time in Montevideo so much partly because of this hotel! The room we had (top floor, balcony) was a huge space in which we enjoyed spending our time. The drawback was the bathroom, very weak shower but that is the only issue worth noting!"

She only told me this lately, otherwise I would have confronted the person. With the high category of this hotel your staff should be reserved, respectful and protective of the high level clientelle.
