"As a history geek and a crafter, I immediately fell in love with this place, perched up on a hill, clearly seen from the main road. The current owners Ken and Sarah have lovingly restored the house to its 19th century elegance, whilst maintaining the 16th century Tudor elements. The communal rooms are comfortable, the bedrooms all have a theme, I was in the pretty bird room. Excellent breakfast and there's a great pub 3 miles down the road, The Nag's Head, for dinner. "Room was okay, the shower not good, due to the sloping ceiling it could not be fixed up high, we had to kneel in the bath and hold the shower head! No pies the first night in the pub, second night my wife wanted fish & chips, no cod! So she went to the chip shop over the road and saved £7. Very good breakfast! All staff very good!"
