"We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Rydges as we were going to a wedding on the Saturday afternoon The room was clean and a good size. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival and nothing was too much trouble on request. The breakfast buffet was delicious with more than enough to choose from. "The Hunter Valley Mercure is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. The hotel has a nice pool and hot tub. The service on the other hand is less than desirable. Our room was not made over a 2 day stay and the only thing reception said was "there was a lot of check-out this morning, and it must has been missed" They did offer to do it now but didn't really insist when I said it'll be fine. "We stayed for 2 nights and it was very comfortable. The bed was big and very good. We had a very good view at the back and nice to sit there for a drink. The furniture could be a bit upgraded but was ok. Very nice breakfast every morning and one night we had a meal at the pub. And that was quite good although a bit pricey for what it was. We enjoyed our stay very much. Probably come back another time."
