"Nice comfortable clean hotel near Xuanwu subway. But aircon broke down on third day and we had to shift to another room. Hotel counter staff do not appear familiar with basic tourist information and could be better equipped with local knowledge of tourist attractions, transport to other places outside Nanjing, where to locate certain landmarks etc..."

"The beds are rock hard. I did not sleep more than 2 hours each night. The walls are paper thin and we could hear people across from us all night long. The carpets were stained. This was in an upgraded lake view room. I shudder to think of what is in a standard room. The front desk is not manned 24 hours a day and if you need to check out before 10 make plans the night before.
