"Our room was very spacious. I shared the room with my mom and we got the room with a double bed and a twin bed on a bunk. There was lots of room for us to hang out. "Koko hotel near Nijo Castle is strongly recommended. The room was roomy enough for 4 of us. The staff was friendly. You do need to keep your keycard in the slot near the front door to activate electricity. The property is located on a smaller street (on the same street as the dry cleaner). You may miss it at first. There is a coffee/breakfast spot right next to the hotel. It is quite convenient. We used Uber during our 2 nights stay at Kyoto. They were able to pick us up at the hotel....

"This location is great as it's near some of the sights to see in Kyoto. My room was in good condition. There was a little noise coming from outside the hotel at night, but nothing too bad."

"We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. For most sightseeing we had to take public transportation/ Uber/taxi, but all was easily accessible. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. It was in an easy walking area with lots of local long covered malls filled with lots of Japan goodness. "

We would stay here again

"We had a good stay here. It is close to the train station, but be advised there is another hotel across the street with a similar name. Lots of restaurants and shops close by and good transportation choices withing walking distance (buses, subways, etc) We arrived in the morning, and they held our luggage for us. It also has a nice onsen. The room is a little tight, so be prepared to store you suitcases under the bed. (It's high up for just that purpose) "
