"We have stayed in this hotel a few times but for the first time we were on the side of the hotel that is nearest the M6. We loved this side because it caught the sun, you could barely see the motorway but the view was great. Overall, staff were very friendly. The only downside was the chaos at breakfast, where there were insufficient staff to make the breakfast experience pleasurable."

"We had an excellent time at Slater's and would willingly recommend a stay there to family & friends. The Staff were unfailingly helpful & friendly, and the evening meal was appreciated by all four of us. A good choice of real ales was a bonus too. The rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of car parking space available. The two lads were amused by the noisy and obvious sexual activity in the bathroom above Room 6. Fortunately, no water came through the ceiling. Hope the cleaning staff...

"Great for the price (£70 for the night). The wall's have absolutely no sound proof so can hear everything next door. The room itself is nice and spacious, with coffee etc. The cooked breakfast was a highlight and would give 5* for this. Was 9.50 a person and included tea/ coffee and orange and apple juice. Would fully recommend to anyone okay with being to hear the person next door"
