The highlight of this property was its proximity to Niagra Falls. It is on the road on the way to the botanical gardens and easily walkable down to the main falls. It is just across the road from the river. The property itself is quite tired. It has some interesting features but was not as comfortable as other places we stayed. I was glad to only need to stay here for 1 night. We stayed in July and so the hotel was really busy. The hosts were friendly but definitely on autopilot when it came to welcome and the breakfast chat. Overall, functional, fine and excellent location. Would not rush to stay again.

Property smelled badly of smoke and ash trays were everywhere outside. Many things did not work inside. AC, fireplace, windows, so difficult to control temperature.

The hallways and lobby smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was odd because I think we were the only guests staying at the time and we don’t smoke. The bed was comfortable enough, I wish we had thicker blankets though because it got quite cold at night. They were super accommodating which was great, they let us check in earlier and store our luggage in the lobby after our check in time, so in terms of friendliness it gets a A I would still recommend if you’re looking for a quirky bnb that has lots of charm.

Lovely inn, with great service. The fixtures were a bit on the old side but that is part of the charm. Wonderful private deck overlooking the Niagara gorge gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the warm October weather.

Everything was great. The bathtub was difficult since I have a hard time stepping over into the bathtub. But no complaints of the room. Where our room was, we had the whole place to ourselves, which made it very, very nice. The breakfast was good, but the helpings were scanty. They didn’t have anything for gluten-free for breakfast as far as toast or rolls. I would definitely stay there again. Loved that the location was not right in town but close to everything.

This was our family's very first time ever staying at a Bed & Breakfast, and they really set the bar. This place is so quaint! Just a short few minute drive to the Falls, minutes from shopping and tons of restaurants around. The staff there was VERY accommodating and very nice! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was DELICIOUS!!! I would absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends and family traveling to the Canada side of Niagra Falls.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Delicious breakfast. Bathroom requires grab bars for shower, and non slip bathtub service (lack of these made it unsafe for us and unfortunately this will prevent us from coming again) Otherwise, it is a lovely B&B in a great location.

Had a great visit here to see the Falls. Location of this property is excellent with the Wego bus stop right in front of the inn. Breakfast was amazing! The only complaint would be that the Grey room mattress needs replacing as it was hard and uncomfortable.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful time staying at the Chestnut inn. It was a good distance to the falls. The location was quiet and easy to be located. Our host Robyn was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the grey room and it was perfect in every way and the breakfasts delicious. With appreciation for our host's hospitality! We looking forward next time we visit Niagara again. I wrote ahead asking for an early check-in--noon. We arrived and couldn't find anyone to help us. The excuse was that she thought my early check-in was for midnight, not noon. There was a family reunion at the site. Great for them. But I have walking issues and seemed to be invisible as I walked through the only indoor and outdoor pathways to our room, which was 2nd floor in a neighboring structure. Each time I passed the family, it was the same. Invisible to people who are struggling. They served breakfast the next day at an appointed time and made it clear that it was because of the family reunion, not their unrelated guests. The bath had a cute claw-foot tub with a wrap-around curtain. So I did a sponge-bath. Everything about this unit and the stay was anti-handicap access...Parking, walking through a "blind" crowd, room access, bath, etc.. But, yes, it was a cute house.
