"This hotel was dirty!! We were expecting old as we wanted to keep costs down and rayes were low. I have stayed in many APA hotels across Japan and they are fine. But this one was filthy. We had booked 4 nights but after one night cancelled and changed to another hotel. Beds were actually decent in condition (APA Kyoto had beds made out of cardboard) but mold and dust, dirty everywhere in room. Can’t recommend it here. Plenty of nice hotels in Kanazawa."

"Our experience was lovely! We stayed two nights. The staff was so accomodating--it was our first experience at a traditional ryokan, and the staff was very helpful in explaining various customs. They made us feel very at home. The free shuttle to and from the station was very convenient and easy to reserve. "Friendly, helpful staff. Great selections on the amenity bar in the lobby. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Having a small fridge and a decent hair dryer in the room make life easier. Other notes: Super close to the train station, and a big Starbucks. Vending machines and laundry facilities on the main floor. A microwave and trouser press on each floor next to the elevator. Physical keys have to be left with reception each time you leave. Ice is sold by the front desk. ¥150...

"I had stayed at a Daiwa Roynet before and didn't know what to expect. But, the hotel was really quite nice. The room was comfortable, though it lacked cupboard space, so you live out of your suitcase -- which I don't like. However, everything else was very good. The public bath was very lovely; the breakfast quite nice; housekeeping was excellent. All-in-all, great value for the money and convenient to the train station. Without hesitation, I would stay again. "
