"This hotel was dirty!! We were expecting old as we wanted to keep costs down and rayes were low. I have stayed in many APA hotels across Japan and they are fine. But this one was filthy. We had booked 4 nights but after one night cancelled and changed to another hotel. Beds were actually decent in condition (APA Kyoto had beds made out of cardboard) but mold and dust, dirty everywhere in room. Can’t recommend it here. Plenty of nice hotels in Kanazawa."

"Our experience was lovely! We stayed two nights. The staff was so accomodating--it was our first experience at a traditional ryokan, and the staff was very helpful in explaining various customs. They made us feel very at home. The free shuttle to and from the station was very convenient and easy to reserve. "This is a good hotel option. It a 5 minute walk from the train station. It’s in a quiet more office like area. It is a drive or longer walk to the historic areas of Kanazawa so we just took a taxi. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet at a cost which had both western and Japanese options and was good. They have laundry facilities on site for a good price and the room was clean, bed was comfy. Front desk staff were kind and helpful. Would stay again. "

Having a small fridge and a decent hair dryer in the room make life easier. Other notes: Super close to the train station, and a big Starbucks. Vending machines and laundry facilities on the main floor. A microwave and trouser press on each floor next to the elevator. Physical keys have to be left with reception each time you leave.
