"Arrived at property and waited in East Bond St for nearly 2 hours whilst in contact with a Travelnest rep only to be told the owner was unable to accommodate me. It’s nearly 2 weeks since the booking fell through and no refund "

"Lovevly night away! Hosts made it so easy and hassle free. Room was very clean, had a peaceful nights sleep! Had dinner down the road in a pub called the wheatsheaf! Which was very nice! Rutland water is only a 15min drive! Thanks again to the host! "

"Lovely lady helpfully directed me to the correct address since my sat-nav didn’t. Very helpfully and warm personality. Room was really clean, fresh towels and a comfy big bed. Everything was well put together, no complaints. Would stay there again if I were in the area, wished I had another night there. "

"I was in Coventry on business, and the Telegraph made for an excellent stay. It was clean, functional and - given the location - very quiet. The working surface, with a couple of plugs and good lighting, was very good for work. I particularly appreciated the bedside radio, while I found the nearby Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants good places for a reasonably-priced dinner."

Does what it needs to

"I’ve stayed here many times so I was unhappy that changed in my plans was not accommodated on request. Poor customer service on Hilton’s behalf - I had requested to change my date and was declined. That said, the room was clean and the breakfast service and offer much improved from previous stays. Rooms are a little dated and never like a shower with a curtain but for the price and convenience you can’t grumble. Does feel like an uninvested Hilton though"

"Lovely stay, accommodating staff and great overall cleanliness of the room and building. Only thing I’d say is it was a little dusty in some parts of the room but that’s very minor. The shower was probably one of the best I’ve ever used in a hotel. I’d highly recommend and would stay here again. "

Very pleasantly surprised

"Our first time using Holiday Inn and it was a very pleasant change from other budget hotels.Having staff welcome you at reception is a great start.The accessible room we requested was completely satisfactory for my wife who has Alzheimer's and movement and cognitive issues.An incident with my wife in the early morning hours when she lost her sense of bearing was dealt with professionally and with sensitivity by the night staff and we are both very grateful.We have booked another stay and are glad we have found this little gem."
