"Very nice, but the night before we were to arrive we were told the swimming pool was not functioning. Bearing in mind the one day was in the mid thirties, this was disappointing. Our room had an artisan working all day, on both sides of us. One night I had to ask him to stop hammering on our walls at 8 o' clock at night. The hotel staff and very nice and considerate. management need to up their game."

"Things have changed since I was last here , rooms are still good, they have upgraded their breakfast and the amount of choice is excellent,quality is good ,the grounds have been meticulously kept neat and tidy ,it’s a perfect place if you have kids to be free and play , such a treat to see the animals and wild animals that are close by,we really enjoyed our stay ,we were not affected by loadshedding-generator onsite "

"The location and grounds were stunning and incredibly well kept. The children had lots of green space to play and explore and be up close with the animals. Our deck was expansive which made for lovely evenings watching the sun go down behind the hills and the sky change colour. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as we have bad backs and often struggle to sleep while travelling. "Our family stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for one night in February. The first thing that greeted us was the beautiful grounds, and restaurant with a stunning view of the mountain. Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms. And let me not forget the kind and professional staff, including their head chef who made the most wonderful 3 course dinner! A gem! Thank you for a lovely stay. "
