"This is our second time staying at the Wayfarer location in San Diego. My son is currently taking surf lessons while we stay at the hotel. We are frequent visitors to the San Diego area and decided to stay here for the convenience of the surf lessons being located directly in front of the hotel. "The pool was smaller and a dingier then the pics, rooms were a good size and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, just off the I 5, downtown was 10 mins away. Security was good, The buildings are all locked, you need your key card to get into them. And breakfast was good, they had different hot selection everyday "

"The hotel was older but clean and neat. The outside wall need some paint, I know that's an ongoing struggle at the beach. The location was great. We could walk right down to the beach, it was easy to find restaurants. We had a wonderful time."
