"This is a lovely hotel. It is right on the Loire and very central. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed. It is completely quiet at night with brilliant curtains that keep the light out. Breakfast is delicious and great value. We found parking to be fairly easy and we found a spot opposite the hotel. Saumur is a beautiful city and we had a fantastic visit. I highly recommend Hôtel Anne d'Anjou."

"A fabulous hotel. What a privilege to be able to stay in Fontevraud-l’Abbaye Abbey. The ability to walk around after the public has gone up to 12.30 at night was amazing! The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was beautiful. Take time to go to the restaurant in the Cloisters. Such an experience . Very highly recommend "

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "
