"The staff was amazing and very helpful with pointing us to different attractions … hotel is located in best location for walking and exploring Edinburg with many restaurants, cafes and pubs, we felt very safe here at hotel and surrounding areas … rooms were comfortable for two with two beds and two closets, rooms were clean … I will definitely stay here on my next visit."

"The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours....

"It’s great for solo travellers like me. The location is the best part of this hotel as it is in the heart of the old town, which is just walk away from the train station and to other touristy places in Old Town such as the Edinburgh castle and St. Giles cathedral"

"Lots of history in the building. Our room was in the nearby annex (4 rooms here). There are steps down to the area. The main hotel is a few steps away. There is a lounge/waiting area if you are early for check-in. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining area and we did try out the evening meal as well. Reasonable prices and nicely presented and great food.. Nearby shopping and the tram to the airport is a short distance away (albeit uphill) Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to...
