I wanted to stay in Piran but choose this hotel initially for two reasons: (a) it was walking distance along a promenade to Piran and offered free parking; and (b) it would be staying in a slice of history as the form of the hotel (though not the renovated interiors) harked back to the more brutalist days of the Yugoslav Republic. " Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "

"Good hotel, pretty central. The breakfast could have had a better selection. Not impressed with pigeons flying around if you sat outside. Wi-fi reception was not great which was a bit let down. Had to check in at the hotel next door as this one had no check in desk which was a bit odd."
