"This was a great place to stay for an early morning flight out of Pisa. The walk to the airport is short and easy. The neighborhood is safe. Inside the Pisaland is a common room with a refrigerator with drinks to buy and complimentary juice, coffee and wrapped pastries. Then you have your own room and bathroom. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Also, the beds were comfortable. The aesthetics feel like you are in an older home. I would highly recommend staying here. "

"While the location is perfect. There were not instructions about front gate entrance to the building ; which it did not work properly - because key has a trick to open . Otherwise , it will not open. We had to wait for a while with small kids outside. The elevator not always work , so I had to go down stairs 3 floors with 3 lugage. There was not soap or shampoo. "Not so good. Shower curtain has mildew on it and the bathroom was shared. We arrived from the airport very late and gave the taxi driver the address. When he stopped outside we thought there might be a mistake as there was no sign and it didn’t look like a hotel. I checked the email which was all in Italian. It was 1am in the morning. "Checking in was extremely frustrating! There was no mention of checking in at a different location, only hours for a front desk. When we were finally able to find the check in it was still quite the process to get to the room. There is a kitchen but no microwave, just FYI. "The B & B was in an excellent location for the airport. Don’t expect a breakfast if you have an early flight as there’s nothing before 8 am. Coffee machine but only takes 50 cents so make sure you have some. The stairs are a nightmare, 4 flights with two 23 kilo suitcases is not ideal. Having said all the above, shower was good, beds very comfortable and the lady host was lovely. For the £110 it was excellent value for money all considered."

The parking in front of La Papaya is a bit troublesome. It is paid parking and they say that they offer a daily rate, but the parking meter doesn't seem to allow us to select the daily rate.
