"I was traveling with my 20 year old son for spring break. Overall, Hotel Plaza Yara was a very nice place to stay. The staff was professional, attentive and helpful. "Hotel is dated and in need of some repair and updating but doesn’t compromise cleanliness and comfort. We felt very safe and cared for at this hotel. The proximity to the park and beach was a plus for little kids and made things easy. The staff was incredibly kind. We did find a crab in our hotel room but that’s to be expected when you’re up against the jungle! The family pool and wet bar was great to enjoy a few drinks while watching the kiddos easily. "Although the property is quite dated and needs a bit of refurbishing it is still a nice place to stay with large rooms, comfortable bed and hot showers. The breakfast options are good and filling with various well priced dinners available. The hotel is located on quite a steep hill if walking but there is a local bus service every 20 minutes. Overall the place is good value and worth staying if you want somewhere cheaper than central Manuel Antonio, which is just down the road anyway."
