"Absolutely amazing stay! The staff was incredibly friendly, the WhatsApp communication was very fast. When we were trying to book a taxi to the airport they were very helpful! There is also a roofdeck with a spectacular view of Ponta Delgada. The property is a renovated multi-storey 1930's townhouse with a central mahogany staircase (and elevator) that has been in the same family since 1961.The grandson manages the place and is very knowleadgeable about tours and very responsive to requests. "I have only excellent things to say about this calm hostel/hotel. It is a mix of rooms, apartment, and hostel. I stayed in a 4 bed bunk room. It was immaculately clean, with high quality beds, and bedding, and so spacious. Bathroom was likewise large and pristinely cleaned every day.
